Hi, I’m Sarah O’Callaghan. I’m a CBT psychotherapist and have worked within mental health for over 18 years. A former mental health nurse, I started my career working with adults with learning disabilities and went on to work in children’s mental health, specialising in children and adolescents with eating disorders.
As I developed my career I quickly realised that working up the ranks in management was not for me, as it lacked opportunity to do what I love most- working clinically with people, hearing their stories and wanting to work with them to improve their circumstances and well-being.
I then headed down the route of becoming a therapist and I’ve never looked back. I draw on my wealth of clinical skills in my work and support this with evidence based thereputic approaches such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)
