The Motherhood Therapy
In addition to my work across a broad range of presentations and difficulties, I have a specialist interest and additional training in working in maternal mental health and pregnancy loss. I continue to work two days a week in an NHS Maternal Mental Health Service, however these services are a trial and not available nationwide. I support those with birth trauma, anxiety in the pregnancy period and baby loss.
As a mother of two myself, I know how hard it can be to keep spinning all of the plates and at times this can be overwhelming. I work regularly with parents of children of all ages, and I can help you work on how to reframe the critical thoughts you have about yourself, helping you see that much of what you are experiencing can be normal. You will see how you can begin to have more conviction in the idea that you are a good enough mum!
I am primarily trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but other approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) help to bring tailored support to you as an individual in working towards your hopes in therapy.
It would be a privilege to hear your story and work with you on developing a desired hopes for therapy, I look forward to hearing from you.

Free 15 minute telephone consultation to discuss what you are requiring and a brief discussion about what might be useful to you.
50 minute assessment exploring your needs and ongoing therapeutic input. The frequency and number of appointments are negotiable, with most approaches I would recommend a weekly session however often having sessions less frequently can be beneficial in cases of pregnancy loss or grief.
